Description
In our accelerated world we are exposed to more and more environmental impacts that put an extra load on our bodily organs, our sight of course included. All the devices that make our life more comfortable (television, PC, artificial light) imply not only advantages, but drawbacks as well. The increasing proportion of those who wear eyeglasses shows how much we have overburdened our eyes. This change is especially conspicuous in the younger age groups.
To relax the eyes, to strengthen vision and to prevent sight deterioration are now more important than ever-before. Traditional eyeglasses and contact lenses improve our sight, not by healing the eyes, but by artificially correcting the place where the focus falls, that is placing it on the sight spot. That's why it is important to apply an eye therapy which, while it improves sight, will simultaneously heal the eyes. A device for this purpose is introduced to you on these pages. Wearing the eye trainer is particularly advisable for those who spend much time before PC or television monitors, or who have much to read. The sight corrector will in these cases rest and relax the eyes, and allay the burning pain in the eyes caused by forced focusing over long periods.
The device is attracting more and more interest with opticians and opthalmologists all over the world. Research findings attest that the regular use of the eye trainer has a positive effect on sight. Beyond dealing with the particular eye problem, it improves recognition of colours and pictures, sharpness of vision, light tolerance, functions of the inner and outer eye muscles, blood circulation in the eyes and communication between the eyes and the brain. Moreover it allays chronic weariness of the eyes. Medical tests prove that use of the eye trainer in most cases results in the complete restoration of sight.
THE VISOFIT EYE TRAINER
The vision correcting device without lenses is a Hungarian patent pending invention.
* no by effects of the vision corrector without lenses can be prooved
* recommended even to those with healthy eyes
* used 5-40 minutes daily it gives a tone to tired eyes and helps preserve the adaptebility of healthy eyes
* regular training postpones the development of presbyopia or it can even stop sight detereration
* in cases of short- and far sightedness there is a chance of reducing visual defects just like in the cases of blurred sight and astigmatism
* the effectiveness of the device naturally depends upon the seriousness of the sight defect and on the general state of health of the organism
* no effects can be expected in cases of injured visual nerves or eye defects caused by diabetes or hypertonia
* in cases of weak or detached retina the examination of the fundus of the eye is required. The device may only be used by the strict supervision of an opthamologist
WARNING! The narrow field of vision implies the danger of accidents. Therefore the device should be worn only during sedentary activities (reading, watching TV, needle-work etc.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The sight correcting device is a double dark screen with two openings as far apart as the average distance of the two eye axes. In front of and behind the holes are two connected and adjustable rubber disks for setting the distance of the eye axes. On the inner surface of each screen is a smaller revolving disk with a row of holes of different diameter. By turning this disk, one can elect the right hole to make sharp sight possible for the individual eye.
The principle of the vision corrector, formulated by the late professor Jozsef Oveges, is as follows: "With the help of the disks on both screens, we direct light on the healthy field of the eye, which makes the eye muscles direct the pupil towards the incoming light. The regular use of the device strengthens the eye muscles and prompts them to work as they should.
If light rays from the objects of the outer world enter our eyes through a tiny hole in a dark screen, they produce a sharper and cleaner image on the retina than common eyeglasses do. A number of deficiencies in simple glass lenses mean that light rays coming from a certain point of an object won't unite in one and the same point on the other side of the lens. Therefore the image will lack sharpness. If, however, we use only the centre of the lens across a tiny hole, we escape most of the flaws of the whole lens, and consequently we gain a sharper and clearer image! In our eye lens and in the vitreous body of the eye there are very tiny specks which cause a dispersion of the light travelling across the eye. The result is that, in addition to the rays that draw the image, the retina gets a varied amount of the dispersed light as well, which may seriously blur the image you see."
